About the Show
Couch Cases is a single-camera sitcom shot on HVX200 using 35mm lenses to give it a beautiful filmic look. The show was created for 1/1000th the per-minute budget of a network television show.
As co-creators and executive producers of Couch Cases, Patrick and Kathi worked together as equal partners through every phase of the project, from the moment of conceiving the show idea to sitting in the editing suite together and making decisions. The duo has a background in music, so the collaborative back-and-forth style of working together came naturally, like musicians making music together.
The Couch Cases set was filled with a lot of laughter and was a great place to create. Patrick and Kathi plan to continue working on their next project with their production company, High Five and a Hug Productions.
